Travel Discounts
American Airlines provides Brownfields 2009 special discounts. Earn a 5% discount on applicable fares (including First class). Start your search here and the discount will be automatically applied to your reservation, or reference code A21N9AE when booking with your travel agent.
JetBlue Airways provides a 5% discount when you fly into New Orleans. This discount is only available for travel to/from Brownfields 2009 and must be reserved through the JetBlue website by referencing code BROWN.

Airport Shuttle
Airport Shuttle New Orleans, Inc. is the official ground transportation provider for Louis Armstrong International Airport, with service to and from downtown New Orleans hotels, the French Quarter and Morial Convention Center. The current group fare is $20.00 each way or $35/round trip. Visit Airport Shuttle’s Website to make reservations in advance and receive the discounted rate. Once you have arrived at the airport, you will find the Airport Shuttle Ticket Counter on the Lower Level across from Baggage Claim areas 3, 6 or 12. The shuttle is scheduled to run every 15 minutes. In order to be able to book travel online you must book at least 24 hours prior to your flight departure time. Taxi Service
A current fixed rate of $30 (one or two people) is charged from the airport to most areas of New Orleans. For parties of more than two, the fare is $12.00 per person. On the streets of New Orleans, taxi rates are $2.50 plus $1.60 per mile (.20 per one-eighth mile) thereafter. There is also an additional charge of $1.00 per passenger after the first passenger. Rates are subject to change.
Getting Around Downtown New Orleans
The RTA
The RTA is the public transportation system for the New Orleans community. With twenty-eight bus lines running, providing 34,000 rides daily, the bus service allows transportation throughout the city’s major corridor. Reliable and convenient RTA service is within two blocks of most downtown hotels. The current fare for these fully air-conditioned buses is $1.25 one way with an additional quarter for transfers. Rates are subject to change.

Parking
Directly across from the Morial Convention Center is their Vehicular Operations Center (VOC). From Convention Center Boulevard, enter Lot F for show-day delegate automobile parking. Currently, parking in the VOC is available from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm daily. Per vehicle charges apply and in/out privileges are not available.
Important Transportation Notice
The city of New Orleans offers an extensive public transportation system; therefore, the Brownfields 2009 Conference will not provide shuttle service for the conference.
