Limiting Liability at Renewable Energy Sites

In order for renewable energy projects to become commonplace on old landfills and other contaminated sites, project proponents and their lenders must, on a regular basis, be able to secure concrete limitations on their environmental cleanup liability exposure.

Please join top EPA officials - David Lloyd, Charlie Bartsch and Ken Patterson - as they engage in a lively roundtable discussion on this issue with top California DTSC officials and with the proponents of a nationwide “ground lease” liability relief model, which arises out of California’s SB 989 Bona Fide Ground Tenant concept. The panel is co-moderated by attorney Kevin Daehnke, creator of the SB 989 ground lease model, and Leo Rebele of Gannett Fleming, Founder Level sponsor of the nationwide ground lease “White Paper” outreach effort.

To learn more about this ground lease liability bifurcation model in preparation for the "Jumpstarting Renewable Energy Projects Using the Ground Tenant Liability Relief Model" panel on April 5th from 3:15 - 4:30 pm, please visit and participate in the ongoing blog posts at www.BrownfieldGroundLease.com.   You can also follow us on twitter @bfgroundlease.
