Equitable Development Workshop Registration Update

Individuals will be able to attend the Equitable Development Workshop without pre-registering online. There will be no fee at the door for onsite registrants, but the lunch option will only be available to those who pre-registered.

When: Sunday, April 3 - 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Where: Room 113C

DESCRIPTION:

This workshop will explore the connections between brownfields revitalization, environmental justice, equitable development, and the issues that have made integrating these often-complementary efforts difficult and challenging.  Meeting participants will hear from community leaders on how they have forged successful partnerships between brownfields revitalization, equitable development and environmental justice and will explore why integrating these efforts is critical and necessary to right past wrongs, revitalize America’s disadvantaged communities, grow the economy, and create healthy and sustainable urban, suburban and rural communities.  This daylong event will also focus on building the capacity of participants to engage in brownfield revitalization issues in their neighborhoods, communities and regions.  Tools, resources and strategies will be introduced through panel discussions and peer-to-peer exchange.
