The scholarship program for Brownfields 2013 is now open. Scholarships will be distributed among organizations and communities, with preference given to community group and environmental Justice members from the Southeast region.
The Center for Public Environmental Oversight has received funding from U.S. EPA and the Goldstein Brownfields Group to provide a limited number of scholarships for environmental justice and other community participants in the Brownfields 2013 Conference in Atlanta, Georgia May 15-17, 2013.
Applicants can apply for either of the two types of scholarships listed below.
1. $100 discount on conference registration - normally $125 for community participants. Each person is responsible for his/her own registration, including a payment of $25. We will provide selected applicants with instructions for registering with the discount.
2. Two-night hotel stays at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center and $100 discount on conference registration. Scholarship recipients are still responsible for incidental expenses at the hotel. Please do not apply for this scholarship if you are in driving distance of the Conference.
Please fill out and submit the application by April 15, 2013. Notification will begin by April 22, 2013. If you are a speaker and need to know earlier, please let us know.
Thank you CPEO, Goldstein Brownfields Group, and EPA for your generous contributions.
